Heights has built a premium supplement brand with strong marketing and endorsements from dietitians. When we contacted Heights customer support to ask about the elemental magnesium composition, they confirmed: the blend is magnesium glycinate buffered with magnesium oxide, with approximately 20% of the elemental magnesium coming from oxide.
So despite the premium positioning and the clean-sounding 'only HPMC capsule shell' claim, Heights uses the same oxide buffering trick as products costing £9.99. The difference is they charge £30 for it. With 20% of the 300mg elemental coming from oxide, roughly 60mg is from the poorly-absorbed form (4% absorption rate), delivering just ~2.4mg of absorbed magnesium from that portion.
Value Analysis
At £30 for 30 servings, Heights is the most expensive magnesium supplement in our comparison at £1 per day.
